It’s okay to ask for help.

Families can receive emergency food with dignity, on the day they need it.
Connection To Resources
Helping you to better access programs that meet your fundamental needs.
Wraparound Support
We offer personal care supplies and clothing as well as household items.
We’re Here To Help
We are more than just food – we offer clothing, resources & more.
To prepare for your visit, please note that we serve residents of Cudahy & St. Francis and those experiencing housing insecurity. If you are outside of this area, we suggest you visit The Hunger Task Force Emergency Food Page to find your neighborhood Food Pantry.
Proof of address is required and you’ll need to provide documentation for each household member upon or before your third visit.
What to bring on your first visit?
- The person signing up and designated as “Head of Household” must bring a recent piece of mail with their name and address, along with some form of ID (photo ID preferred but not required). Some examples of acceptable ID’s are: Driver’s license, State ID, Military ID, School ID, Library card, etc.
- All other adults and children in the household will need to provide one form of ID (see examples above). The Head of Household may provide photos or copies of the ID’s of all other household members provided the photos or copies are clear.
- You will be asked to read and sign the pledge statement on the government-issued TEFAP form certifying that you have represented your household size and total income accurately and truthfully for TEFAP.
On ALL subsequent visits, after having successfully registered, please bring:
- A piece of recent mail with name and address or one form of ID for the Head of Household ONLY.
Every 12 months each household will be asked to re-certify. The Head of Household will review the federal income limits as posted at our Food Pantry and confirm that their household is still below the appropriate income level. If still eligible, then the Head of Household would provide one form of ID or piece of recent mail for themselves ONLY and verbally confirm the members of the household, address, phone number and advise of any changes.
To be eligible for TEFAP in Wisconsin, your household must have a gross income at or below 300% of the federal poverty level, which varies by household size. Eligibility is self-declared and you can apply directly at a participating Food Pantry or distribution site, without a pre-application.
Click HERE for a PDF of the TEFAP form.
(We will fill this out in-person, no need to print or bring it with you.)

We’re Looking Forward To Seeing You!
It’s important to remember that there is nothing wrong with asking for help. In a culture that often prizes self-sufficiency, seeking support can sometimes feel like a sign of weakness, but the reality is quite the opposite: it’s a demonstration of strength, self-awareness, and courage. Everyone faces challenges, whether they’re personal, professional, or emotional, and trying to navigate every difficulty alone is an unsustainable and unnecessary burden. By reaching out to others— like a Food Pantry —you not only gain diverse perspectives and practical solutions, but you also open yourself up to valuable connections and mutual growth. Acknowledging a need and taking the active step to address it is a powerful move toward well-being and success. We’re truly looking forward to helping you!
We’re More Than A Food Pantry
Please note: All of our programs and services are free to our families.
Senior Stock Box Program
Project Concern of Cudahy/St Francis is, in addition to a TEFAP Food Pantry outlet, a senior Stock Box Distribution site. The Stock Box Program is open to Milwaukee County residents over the age of 60. Please click below for more information on eligibility and sign up requirements.
Thrift Store
Project Concern carries a variety of clothing, books, toys and household items that have been donated by caring individuals and organizations. During each monthly visit, patrons are free to choose whatever items they need for themselves or direct members of their household. **Please click below to see a list of items we are currently accepting and DO NOT accept for our thrift store.
Medical Equipment Lending Program
Local residents may utilize our free medical equipment loan program. This allows people recovering from an injury or surgery to borrow medical equipment for a three month period. Identification is required to borrow all equipment and our inventory varies base on availability. Equipment includes items such as: walkers, wheelchairs, crutches, canes, commodes, shower benches/chairs & toilet seat risers
Christmas Gifts (children 17 and younger)
Beginning each October, patrons complete a “wish list” for each of their registered children. Project Concern staff and volunteers coordinate the program. This includes collecting the “wish lists” and finding sponsors to purchase the items the children would like for Christmas. As the items are dropped off by the caring sponsors, the team sorts and labels everything into gift bags. The week before Christmas we have our families come to the Pantry to pick up the gifts for their children. If you would like to become a gift sponsor, please complete the form below.
Holiday Food Baskets
Project Concern offers a limited number of wonderful food baskets for our families complete with all the trimmings for Thanksgiving and Easter. A ham, turkey or roast are included to help insure a proper meal on these special occasions. Families with the most children and overall persons in their household are offered the baskets until the supply is exhausted.
Homebound Food Deliveries
Qualified individuals who are homebound may call Project Concern to discuss the possibility of receiving a food delivery once per month. All deliveries are made by volunteers and volunteer availability can fluctuate. Please note, many of our homebound delivery requests for persons age 60 and older are referred to the ERAS Senior Network (they took over the ride program for Interfaith), as they have capacity to help with food deliveries all over Milwaukee County. ERAS provides services such as rides to doctor visits and tax preparation services. Please call us to discuss!
School Supplies
Each summer registered families with children may request a basic bag of school supplies. Staff members coordinate with local schools to obtain lists and match the needed items to each child. We work with area individuals and businesses to generate donations of school supplies and financial support in order to provide our families with as many basic school supplies (and backpacks when available) as possible. Families may stop in from July through September to pick up the school supplies.
Birthday Gifts (children 17 and under)
Registered families may request a birthday bag for any of their children ages 17 and under. We start with a nice gift bag and include things like cake mix, frosting, napkins and plates. The bag also includes a small age-appropriate gift to help ensure that the children can enjoy a nice birthday.
Childhood literacy program
Powered by grants, our program provides new children’s books right where families are. Find an age-appropriate book in public locations, look for them tucked in with baby gifts, or receive personalized recommendations from our team. We’re committed to making sure every child has a great book to own!
Personal Care Products
Each month we offer a different personal care item to every registered household that comes for food. Items include:
dish and laundry soap
deodorant
toothpaste and toothbrushes
mouthwash
shampoo
baby wipes
feminine care products
sunscreen
Infant needs & New parent Items
Formula, baby food and diapers are available upon request each month.
Parents that are preparing for a new baby or recently had a new baby may request a gift bag. The gift bag with contain items such as: blankets/wraps, pacifiers, diapers, bottles
other miscellaneous items
When available, we also offer a new diaper bag to carry all of the baby’s things when on the go.
